2.         IT IS LIFE GIVING.

Genesis 3:20 TLB says, "The man named his wife Eve meaning, The Life Giving One!"

Eve in Hebrew is 'Chavvah' meaning, 'Life Giver!" Eve was the prototype of all women - the first of her kind. She was a life giver. We also are life givers! We have the privilege of conceiving, nurturing and bringing forth a miracle of life from within our womb. Eve certainly obeyed God's command to "be fruitful and multiply."

Hebrew tradition says that Eve gave birth to hundreds of children! Wow, that's hard to believe isn't it, but remember, she did live for hundreds of years. The Bible only mentions the names of Cain, Abel and Seth but she gave birth to many sons and daughters and began the population of the earth. Genesis 5:4. No wonder she was called the "Mother of all living."

Isn’t it sad that when we are meant to be ‘life-givers’ that many would rather be ‘life-stoppers’?

3.         IT IS OUR BLESSING.

Genesis 49:25 speaks of "The Almighty who shall bless thee with the blessings of the breasts and of the womb."

Do you believe the scriptures? Do you receive your womb as a BLESSING from God? Before God gave conception and fruitfulness, He always BLESSED first. We need to affirm God's truth and confess that our womb is a blessing. We cannot have conception without His blessing.

Before God spoke the words to Adam and Eve, "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth" He first BLESSED them. We see God doing this over and over again as we read the scriptures. God wants to bless our womb. Pray for the health of your womb. A beautiful ministry that a husband can do is to regularly pray over and bless the womb of his wife.
