Love, yearning and sexual desire can be felt from the womb. The Shulamite woman in Song of Solomon 5:4 said, "My beloved put his hand in the hole of the door and my bowels (meah) were moved for him." 

A line from an ancient sacred-wedding poem says, "He is the one my womb loves best."

Many women confess to loss of sexual satisfaction after their womb has been removed.

In a study of 171 women who had undergone hysterectomies, 69.2 per cent complained of a decrease in the ability to reach orgasm.

A marriage counselor revealed that 98 per cent of her patients were women with extreme sexual difficulties following hysterectomy.

A study by Dr. Niles Newton discovered reduced sexual drive in 60% of women who had hysterectomy and oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries) 40% never resumed marital relations.

A study in the United Kingdom reports 33 - 46% have decreased libido after hysterectomy and oophorectomy.
