Psalm 103:7 says, “He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel.”  Moses saw many exploits because he was a man who drew close to God. Let’s read Exodus 33:11,13-16, “And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend… Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way,  that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight… And He said, ‘My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.’ And Moses said unto him, ‘If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? Is it not in that thou goest with us? So shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.’”

God’s ways are revealed in His presence. We must press in to know the power of His presence. The thing that should characterize us as God’s people above all else is the reality of His glorious presence. We should sense it. Others should sense it. Things should be happening in our lives that could only happen because of God’s presence. The presence of Almighty God with us should be our most distinguishing character. This is what distinguishes us from all other people on the earth. The nations of the earth should be aware of His awesome presence. Until we have His presence about us, manifesting itself in ways that are beyond human endeavor, we kid ourselves if we say that we really know God.

Psalm 25:4,9 says, “Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths… The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way.” There is absolutely no room for pride in the pursuit of the knowledge of God. God resists the proud but He gives grace to the humble.

Exploits are the real proof that we know God. I am not saying that we do not know His saving grace. Saving grace is the very beginning of our experience in knowing God. We must beware of the danger of substituting the true knowledge of God for lifeless knowledge about God. Most of our western Christianity knows much about God but I fear it knows very little of God Himself.

The reason why the wimp will not see exploits is because it takes discipline to seek God. The wimp has difficulty with discipline. We must cast off all wimpiness for we have been powerless far too long. Exploits should be the order of the day. Let’s seek the Lord with all our hearts for the world is still waiting to see what mighty things God can do through those who really know Him.

Get ready for the next episode.
