Page 3 of 3 May the Lord graciously deliver us from the sad testimony of His people in Isaiah 26:18, “We have been with child, we have been in pain; we have, as it were, brought forth emptiness; we have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.” There is much wind in our churches these days and sad to say, it is not the wind of the Holy Spirit. Would to God that it was the powerful wind of Pentecost bringing life and dynamic power to dedicated disciples. The windbag sermons of powerless preachers who have not waited upon God for His fire to fall can never, and will never, bring about deliverance in the earth, nor cause the enemy inhabitants to fall. Let us cast off this wimpy anemic spirit for it is paralyzing. It’s consequences are nothing short of mind boggling when one takes time to consider the lost estate of fallen humanity. The final conclusion to Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37:10 was “an exceeding great army.” This is unquestionably what the Lord of battles is calling us to. Let us take courage and call upon the Lord for He alone is more than able to give us a final, mighty victory over the destructive powers of darkness. Remember Samson’s final victory. His earnest prayer accomplished more at the end of his life than all the previous victories. Get ready for the next episode.
