We're grateful to God for friends who write winsome, accurate books on the Scriptural view of sexuality. Radical Womanhood is such a book. We hope this video and Gender Blog post are helpful.

True Woman Conference Revisited

On October 8th - 11th, Revive Our Hearts hosted a women's conference in Schaumburg, Illinois, called True Woman. Speakers included John Piper, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Mary Kassian, and Susan Hunt.

This event helped to raise up an "army of true women," 6,200 strong and growing!

We've blogged on the general session talks.

A Predicament for Complementarians?

The nomination of a female Vice Presidential candidate has encouraged many to reconsider God's design for men and women.  We exist to help people understand the Bible's teaching on gender by providing online books and articles, scholarly journal archives, and a daily blog on gender news.

At CBMW, we believe that men and women are created equal in value and dignity, yet with complementary roles in the church and home.  This complementarian position is set forth in the Danver's Statement on manhood and womanhood.

Do complementarians believe that a woman can lead a country?  What is the biblical role of a woman at home?  To answer to these questions, let us suggest starting with these recent posts in Gender Blog (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, USA Today).

Mission

The mission of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood is to set forth the teachings of the Bible about the complementary differences between men and women, created equally in the image of God, because these teachings are essential for obedience to Scripture and for the health of the family and the church.

Vision

The vision of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood is to see the vast majority of evangelical homes, churches, academic institutions, and other ministries adopt the principles of the Danvers Statement as a part of their personal convictions and doctrinal confessions and apply them in consistent, heart-felt practice.
