BLESSED TO BE A MOTHER

I could have been a major -

but I chose to be a mother.

I used to make a living -

but now I'm making lives.

I've traded airmen's salutes

for children's hugs and kisses.

Instead of giving orders -

I'm giving all I am.

Thank you, Lord,

for the privilege of being a mother.
